Removing the check mark from the MS-DOS Prompt check box will prevent users from accessing the MS-DOS Prompt, as well as preventing the user to run MS-DOS based programs.

It also disables the Start - Shut Down - Restart in MS-DOS mode - you will get a warning that this function has been disabled by the systems administrator.

Note I: This requires a re-logon to take effect.

Single-Mode MS-DOS

Removing the check mark from the Single-Mode MS-DOS check box will remove the Restart in MS-DOS mode on the Shut Down menu. When you re-enable Single-Mode MS-DOS, you will have to restart Windows to recover the use of the Restart in MS-DOS mode on the Shut Down menu.
