Tweaking Toolbox XP Support Site

Cannot find "framedyn.dll"

  • In Windows XP, open Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, then click System
  • On the System Properties window that opens, select the Advanced tab, and click the Environment Variables button. Under System variables select Path and click Edit
  • Make sure that the string below is at minimum available in Variable value:

    %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem

There could be other path statements after the last entry, but this has to be there

  • When you added the above, save & reboot

If there is no Path variable at all, you have to add it (click New, and enter Path for the Variable name, and the Variable value string listed above).

Can't start Tweaking Toolbox XP

If you get an error trying to start Tweaking Toolbox XP (especially after upgrading your XP installation to Service Pack 2), first make sure that you are running the latest version of Tweaking Toolbox XP. You can download from here. That will most likely solve your problem.
